Written by a hunter who knows from experience how to cook with deer burger at home and in camp, "Deer Burger Cookbook" answers a question every hunter has asked: "What do I do with all this deer burger?" With his trademark down-home sense of humor, Cousin Rick Black shares a wide variety of deer burger recipes, so you'll never get bored eating the same old chili and jerky. Black even reveals his award-winning family bratwurst recipe. Techniques and flavors borrowed from Mexico and Jamaica spice things up, and the book also includes recipes for large crowds. Features 136 recipes including Deer in the Cabbage Soup, Hunting Lodge Stew, Deer in the Beer Chili, Travis's Deer Camp Breakfast, Whitetail County Venison Sausage, and Sloppy Does.

Deer Burger Cookbook is a fun book to read and has very good recipes. I wish there were photo's like some of Rick's other books. But for the price there is no better.

There are no better books in the world on cooking deer burger. I can say this because I have had the chance to hunt big game in many country's. Rick makes cooking deer burger fun and easy. The recipes go from grilling, Dutch oven, and he even added recipes for large crowds. I have the following books by Rick (signed copies) that I also believe everyone should consider-Rick Black's Wild Game Chilies, Soups & Stews and Rick Black's Cabin Cookin'.

Talk about a perfect end to a perfect deer hunting season. This was a great year for our Wisconsin white tail season. For 2 years now in a row Iowa's Deer hunter and Chef has made it eaiser and better when it comes to cooking our ground deer meat. this book has chapters on every possible means of cooking deer burger. If its chili you want he has a mess of recipes. Of the many mouth waterning recipes in this book I recon we enjoy the casseroles the best. My little brother used several tips on deer hunting also in this book and took a nice 8-pointer on the last day. Deer Burger Cookbook is not only a great wild game cookbook but a hunting advice book as well. And just when you think Cousin thought of everything a hunter would want in a book, he threw in funny jokes to tell at camp! Good job Cousin Rick. I also want to add that your Grillin' Like A Villain and Cabin Cookin' are top notch. We also enjoy your work on the Camp Chef site. If you read this please think about writing a few tips on deer ribs for your Pro Staff Camp Chef. I got a Camp Chef smoker for Christmas and I was given all the ribs this year from our hunting group and would like to use my smoker.

When I read all the reviews on Cousin Rick Black's Deer Burger Cookbook I had to try it. Although I had read alot of Rick's work and listened to him on his radio show up to now I had not sat down and read his books. Like the old saying goes "That was then and this is now". My review is easy EXCELLENT. I am a fan.

Deer Burger Cookbook is teh best cookbook on ground venison my hunting party has ever owned. Page after page of outstanding reading, tips, and very good recipes. This is my first review on a cookbook and I can not say one thing I would want to change in this very well written book.
