Cabin Cookin was a hit... Date submitted:(2008-07-27) Rating:
Renting our cabin in the Ozarks for my family was one of the best idea's my wife has had in several years when it came to vacation. The joy of all our children and grand children being together under one setting meant for some fun times. Of all the nice things that brought us together, Cabin Cookin Cookbook was in the top 5. A fun book and a joy to use.

Our toop used this cookbook at our Spring camp and we enjoyed cooking with it. We used many of the recipes for almost every meal. Cooking with campfire and using coals for camp smoking is a good and quick way to cook our fish we caught.
Chet Morres and STC#Mo-339 - St. Charles, MO | Words can't say all the wonderfull things about this very cool cookbook... Date submitted:(2008-03-19) Rating:
I first read Cousin Rick recipes on the Camp Chef Pro Staff web page. I found his way of writing was easy to read, funny, and yet, fun to use recipes. Cabin Cookin' is just what I wanted in a cookbook. Although I do not have wild game he covers all meats like beef, pork, chicken, and yes....SEAFOOD!
Joyce Cochenour - Nashville, TN | For my first time review on a cookbook, I rate this book 5 Stars=Excellent!... Date submitted:(2008-02-17) Rating:
Rick Black's Cabin Cookin' really is a all-too book on outdoor cookery. Dutch oven, campfire, and really good tips with recipes. Of the many cookbooks I have on this subject, Cabin Cookin' is the best. I bought this book with Wild Game Chilies, Soups, & Stews also by Cousin Rick Black and I spent my money very wisely. Next will be Deer Burger Cookbook and Grillin Like A Villain and this should complete my collection. I also like the art work on the cover. I would also reccemend reading Cousin Rick's tips on the Camp Chef Pro Staff.

When we got Cousin Rick's Deer Burger Cookbook we didn't think there would ever be a better. When we got Cousin Rick's Grillin Like a Villain cookbook we thought that was it. When we bought Rick's Wild Game Chilies, Soups & Stews we thought our cookbooks on wild game was compleated. THEN we found Cousin Rick's Cabin Cookin'! It doesn't get any better. Cousin Rick is the master of outdoor cookery and his cookbooks make cooking wild game and farm game easy and tastey. This like all of his work is excellent.

Julie Eartz - Panda City, NE | Old Cousin Rick ain't no Betty Crocker. He is a outdoor chef and a master ... Date submitted:(2008-01-13) Rating:
Cousin Rick ain't no Betty crocker and thsi outdoor cookbook shows it. If there ever was a cookbook made for a outdoor chef or cook, then this is the book for you. Beef, seafood, pork, chicken, and of course wild game. Rick walks you threw Dutch oven to cooking with campfire foil. this book can be used by the most seasoned chef to the kiddies learning how to make a camp treat. I really don't think there is another cookbook on this subject that even comes close.
T.L. May - Ft Lauderdale, FL | Cabin Cookin' Clearly The Best... Date submitted:(2007-11-15) Rating:
Cut and Dry this is an EXCELLENT book. Each page is full of good recipes and fun tips and tricks on outdoor cookery. Dutch oven, Camp fire, Foil and everything in between. A very good follow-up book to Black's Deer Burger Cookbook and Grillin' Like A Villain books.
C.W. Beckhert - Fort Winn, MT | An Outstanding Book! Thank You Cousin Rick... Date submitted:(2007-10-21) Rating:
There is no other cookbook that has as much information on grilling, Dutch oven, Foil, and general tips on outdoor cookery as Cabin Cookin'. Iowa's Wilman "Cousin Rick" has again topped all others. His Deer Burger Cookbook and Grillian' Like a Villian are classic's as well. Thsi book will be used many of times in our camper.
Jesse langs - Fort Meyers, FL | THANK YOU COUSIN RICK!... Date submitted:(2007-07-04) Rating:
Our troop was very lucky to have had a good fund raiser to get enough cash to buy 12 of Rick Black's Cabin Cookin' cookbook. We used the recipes in every chapter for the week long camp. When we got back from our camp, we all wrote Cousin Rick and thanked him for the great book. To our suprise, Cousin Rick sent us 12 more signed copies and a check for the cost we spent at Barnes and Noble!!!! Cousin Rick is the salt of the earth and as is very much so his line of outdoor cookery books.
Michael Magneson (Troop 153) - Deer Park, WA | Cousin Rick Black at his best! One of the best cookbooks EVER!... Date submitted:(2007-06-17) Rating:
I guess it goes without saying that Cousin Rick has done it again! From his Deer Burger Cookbook and Grillin' Like A Villain, Cousin Rick has left no coals un-turned in his Cabin Cookin. This book was a great tool with our youth camping trip and then was used with our elk hunting trip. Dutch oven, Grilling, and even cooking with foil. The recipes are just as fun to read as they are to eat. THANKS COUSIN RICK!
