Everything you'd expect and more from a portable fire pit!! I purchased it to use with my motor home. Unfortunately, when measuring the storage compartment, I missed a 1' metal channel and consequently the unit is 1" too big. I've since purchased its "smaller brother", which I should have purchased in the first place, and I will sell this unit (I have a home built in fire pit)._x000D_

There are no instructions as to how to adjust the flame (blue to yellow) I'll try tin foil but am not sure how to attach it so I'll just experiment. _x000D_

This thing is great for getting a camp fire in areas with dry conditions or places with lots of tents, no sparks, low to the ground for use with roasting forks and getting heat from it. Diameter is great for lots of people to gather around. I love it! (Posted on 5/31/12)

Generally good quality unit. Folks enjoy gathering around it. Flames are just fine. Two items could be improved: the propane hose needs to be a somewhat longer to get the propane tank further away from the firepit, and the flame adjuster ring is very loose fitting so it doesn't adjust the flame (from blue to yellow) at all. Also, the product discription on the web site etc needs to say what the written instructions for use say about using it on a deck - don't. Overall, we are happy with our purchase. I was looking at this unit on line, but the pics did not do it justice so I was apprehensive. While eating at a local restaurant I saw a similiar unit and when I went outside to examine it I was pleased to see that it was this unit exactly. I ordered it and it arrived within 3 days!!! It not only heats well enough to keep 4 people warm and toasty outside, but the flame is large enough to do smore's and roast a dog or two! (Posted on 5/31/12)

Love this fire pit. Review by perched on my patio

I bought this firepit for my cement patio. I didn't want the hassle of a wood fire (prep work, lighting, smoke, burn down time, etc.). This is the prefect alternative. Lights easily, provides plenty of heat, great for smores and hot dogs, hooked easily to a 20# grill propane cylinder. I have a five year old son and a lab with a tail of death so I really love that the outside ring does not get hot. I wish it had the copper bowl pictured on this site. The bowl is "veined penny" and more shallow than I expected. However, still an excellent firepit. I did a lot of research on propane firepits and this os the only one with the high btu rating. Flames are adjustable. I only have it on high until the charcoal gets hot and then the low setting is plenty hot. You do get better flame height if you turn the valve on slowly and hold it in for a bit per the instructions. I bought an extension hose and doubled the length with no problem. I have not had any problems with this unit and don't forsee any in the future! (Posted on 9/10/08)

Very enjoyable for patio use. Review by Family man

Was super easy to set up. Two different types/color of lava rocks. Not sure how both interact or fit together. Placement of rocks is important to receive the fire like consistant look. We have it on our patio and really enjoy it. Look forward to spending may evenings around the fire just talking. (Posted on 11/10/07)
