When received the thin washer on that goes inside was bent. I put the washer in a vice and flatened it out. Not sure about the O-rings how they will hold up. It seems like the addition of a high temp sealer on the outside in addition to the O-ring would be best. The enamel coating is questionable. A heat diffuser probably should be used. Used this for camping to make Hot water for cooking, hot chocholate, add to dish water, let it get luke warm to wash hands,don't forget to bring a couple ear's of corn!. This is truly a must for any camper and will last for years. (Posted on 5/31/12)Rating

Made lots of piping hot water for hot chocolate and other tasks over a cold weekend camping with Scouts. I could heat up the water in the pot, and keep it hot until I needed to make another three or more gallons of hot chocolate. Then I could use the spout to fill a large cooler below it safely until the water level was very shallow in the pot & could easily pour the remaining water more quickly into the water cooler of hot chocolate. Utilized with tail gate for warming water for hot drinks. Had several people melt their cups as they tried to fill their cups when the flames from the grill and heat from the spigot touched their cups. Had to use a glove when using the spigot because too hot to handle. Bottom imperfections began to chip off after the second use and rim was bent making top not seat correctly. _x000D_Rating

It is a good concept but spigot needs to be a little longer. Low flame needed to make work which takes water longer to heat. (Posted on 5/31/12)

Having recently acquired the HWP20 hot water pot, I cannot find a down side to it's use. It's sits on top my wood stove thus providing me with hot water on tap. Living in a winter environment that is all of sub arctic this product provides me with hot water on tap. It's use during summer will find it's place on rafting trips, providing hot water to wash, make tea, etc., and then to wash the breakfast cookware in. I'm highly impressed, and have sold 5 more, but can't find them. What's up with that? (Posted on 5/31/12)Rating

This was a GREAT product to have at a cold weather camping training. Always had hot water, easy to add more to the pot and easy for kids to use without having to supervise. Exactly what I wnated. All the adults there - both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts discussed buying one. (Posted on 9/9/11)Rating

Took this pot to acamping trip this weekend. Set up on a single burner stove and fill with cold water and fired up the stove. Once the water heated up, have hot water on hand all weekend for all sorts of tasks. Kids can make hot chocolate easily without worrying about scalding. (Posted on 4/9/10)Rating
