Originally purchased a Denali Stove but had problems with the grill grate. Even though it is nonstick, if you grill anything juicy or need to add barbecue sauce to, it burns and sticks to the grill plate even when sprayed with non stick spray. When I tried to soak and clean it, flakes of non stick coating came off. So being concerned I ordered an extra grill grate to use. In the meantime I bought the Rainier Stove because of the larger grill area. Used non stick spray first, but same thing. Difficult to clean burnt on food and almost impossible to clean off the area where the rivits go down the middle. Some flaking even using a nylon scrubber and soaking grate. The other Quality control issue, on my stove at least, is the grease drain hole. The stainless burner tray is offcenter from the bottom base where the drip tray slides on. If you grill a lot of really greasy burgers, the grease drips partially into the drip tray and drips INSIDE the bottom base. You would have to remove the entire stainless inside bottom to clean any grease built up in the interior of the base around the drip hole. If you didn't, my concern would be what if that grease ignites? Anyway at the risk of voiding warranty I used a 1 inch Greenlee Punch to realign the grease drain hole in the base. GREAT COOKER AND GRILL. TOOK THE FAMILY TO LAKE NORFORK IN NORTHCENTRAL ARKANASAS AND USED IT TO COOK ON THE PONTOON BOAT. USED THE BURNERS TO COOK BAKED BEANS AND GRILLED CHICKEN,DOGS, AND SOME DEER STEAKS FOR ME. FIRES UP QUICK WITH A PROPANE BOTTLE, AND HAD ALL THE FIRE I NEEDED. I LOVE IT FOR THE SIZE.
